MIDRIFT HURINET is a non-profit founded in 2008 in Nakuru, Kenya. Its mandate is to empower citizens and promote human rights, peace, security, and good governance. It operates in Nakuru, Baringo, and Kisumu counties.

In March 2025, Mathare Police Station opened a dedicated Gender & Children Office. Since its launch, reported GBV cases have increased by 20% — reflecting growing community trust and improved access to justice for survivors.
